White Rock Wind Farm aims to provide up to date information on its project activities, status of the project and interfaces with the community.
Our updates to the community include:
• delivery of regular newsletters outlining our activities, project status and timing and community initiatives
• media releases and advertorials, such as regular construction updates, in local newspapers
• local radio broadcasts
• information provided at the local shop front, and
• one on one meetings as required.
Transportation of wind turbine components
White Rock Wind Farm would like to keep the local community informed of the additional vehicles using local roads. It is anticipated that from late November, vehicles will be transporting wind turbine components (over-size and over-mass loads) from the Port of Newcastle, via the New England Highway to the project site. Keppel Prince Engineering secures major tower contract for White Rock Wind Farm
On 3 November 2016, Minister Dan Tehan, Member for Wannon along with representatives from Goldwind Australia and Keppel Prince Engineering (KPE), gathered in Portland Victoria to announce KPE has secured a major tower contract for White Rock Wind Farm. KPE will be building 80 tower sections for White Rock Wind Farm, equating to a total of 28% of the tower sections being used in the project. See the media release for further details.
Proposed Development of White Rock Solar Farm
White Rock Solar Farm is a 20 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) development that is being proposed adjacent to White Rock Wind Farm. The development would form a pioneering hybrid solar/wind renewable energy facility in the NSW New England Tablelands.
